Since 2017 we have partnered with Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation, in the Rwenzori region to reduce the number of future orphans due to HIV/AIDS. Through this partnership, we have made great strides in controlling mother-to-child HIV infections, bringing back lost clients into care, and improving HIV/AIDS suppression levels among clients.
Similarly, in conjunction with Makerere Joint AIDS Program (MJAP), we are scaling up community referrals and linkages to increase access and uptake of comprehensive HIV/AIDS clients, OVC and survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), in Kampala; we have, in conjunction with health facilities, screened and provided targeted HIV/AIDS testing services to the community, provided referrals for the positive subjects to begin ART (Anti-Retroviral Therapy?), referred males for circumcision, pregnant women for antenatal care, and encouraged male involvement in HIV Testing Services (HTS) in general.
We are also very proud to have successfully worked with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation in controlling HIV/AIDS infections among teenagers and young adults in Kawempe division.
